The work has to be an original contribution from the apprentices
Only organisations based in the UK are able to participate
Entry to the competition is free of charge
By entering the competition, candidates are declaring that they will follow the rules
Participants are responsible for covering all their costs associated with particpating in this competition, including building their product, materials and travel expenses. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers will not accept any liability
Each team must carry out a risk assessment of their product before demonstration at competition
Participants bringing in any electrical equipment must ensure it is PAT tested, and use it at their own risk
The judges decision is final
Prize winners agree to take part in any promotional activity on the day
