BESPAK UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Bespak are offering two scholarships in Design and Development of Respiratory Devices and one scholarship in Design in Manufacture. 

Scholarship - Design and Development of Respiratory Devices

Bespak are offering the following 12-14 month placements, with one being based in Kings Lynn and the other at their Innovation Centre in Cambridge. Successful candidates will complete the following objectives:

  • Foundation in industry; the company, the infrastructure and quality processes
  • Foundation in design of respiratory devices
  • Project: Drug-to device design (part, assembly, component)

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to: students currently registered on the first year of an IMechE accredited degree; or a relevant degree; or an apprenticeship degree course at a university with a bias to medical device design and development  (for the non accredited courses this would be subject to an initial review before deployment).

Scholarship  - Design for Manufacture

Bespak are offering a 12-14 month placement in Kings Lynn. The successful candidate will complete the following objectives:

  • Foundation in industry; the company, the infrastructure and quality processes
  • Foundation in design for manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Project: Design for manufacture of an assembly

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to: students currently registered on the 1st year of an IMechE accredited degree; or relevant degree; or an apprenticeship degree course at a university with a bias to design for manufacturing (for the non accredited courses this would be subject to an initial review before deployment).

Scholarship interviews

The application process includes a mandatory interview process for all shortlisted candidates.  

  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified by mid-August if they are required to attend an interview, and will be given details of the locations and times of the interviews.
  • Interviews have been planned for Wednesday 30 August 2017 and Thursday 31 August 2017. 
  • Unfortunately, if a candidate is not able to attend on one of the specified dates, then an alternative date cannot be arranged.
  • The Institution is able to normally reimburse up to a total maximum of £100 towards travelling expenses to a candidate who has been invited to attend an interview. Candidates are encouraged to be economical in their claim.
