Graduation is only the start. When you become an Associate Member, you can begin working towards becoming a Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) using our online tools Developing Engineers Programme or MPDS.

CEng or IEng status is the global standard for professional engineers. It boosts your earning potential, enhances your CV, opens up further job opportunities and sets you apart from the crowd.

The Developing Engineers Programme is available exclusively to our Associate Members. It is an easy-to-use, structured programme designed to help you achieve professional registration as efficiently as possible.

You’ll get all the guidance, tools and support you need to build your plan, track your progress and achieve your ambitions, in a format that fits around you and the demands of your current and future career.

Your Associate membership may also allow you to use the Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS) or Supported Registration Scheme (SRS). Once you are in work, if your employer is one of the many registered for MPDS or SRS, you can use this route to professional registration.
