Associate membership puts you in control of your engineering career. According to engineering employers, two of the biggest issues affecting graduate employability are a lack of soft skills and a failure to engage in early career planning. (Wakeham Review 2016).

At Cadent, we’re delighted to have innovative early career engineers like Omar and Mazen working with us to support our work to keep people warm, while protecting the planet. We see the value in professional development and actively encourage our people to expand their skills and knowledge throughout their careers.

Our active mentoring community of Chartered Engineers invest their experience and time to support developing engineers on their road to professional accreditation. I believe this is especially important at the early stages of an engineering career, as engineering is an industry with rapidly advancing technology which can be used to creatively problem-solve some of the most pressing problems, like climate change.
