Summary

This course had been designed around the main TRIZ tools and a programme of supporting research.

TRIZ is a proven capability for defining and solving engineering, IT and management problems, generating new ideas and evolving technical systems more quickly, cheaply and inventively. It is ideal when you have been optimising for years but still need to make improvements.

This virtual course, also available as a one-day face-to-face workshop, has been built around the main TRIZ tools and a programme of supporting research that distils the findings from over 4 million case study analyses. The huge TRIZ toolkit helps engineers to define problems better by bringing clarity to complex situations, and then enables the generation of solutions to such problems in a reliable and repeatable manner.

You will learn how to apply these tools to systematically generate innovative solutions.

TRIZ will generate new ideas and evolve technical systems more quickly, cheaply and inventively. Its principal tools enable engineers to uncover the most effective routes to practical solutions, as well as the development of the next generation of products.

The course involves several hands-on exercises and gives participants the experience to apply them back in their workplace.

Delivery format

This virtual course is offered as an alternative to face-to-face training, and is delivered across 4 x 2-hour virtual classrooms (VC) as follows:

  • VC 1 - Introduction to TRIZ
  • VC 2 - Identifying the right problem
  • VC 3 - Contradictions and inventive principles
  • VC 4 - Resources and trends

These VCs are not lectures. Instead, they are highly interactive sessions and encourage the same kind of participation as learning in a physical classroom, providing the opportunity to learn from the experiences of others, as well as reflecting on your own and sharing best practice.

The time between VCs allows you to absorb the ideas and reflect on the lessons learned before the next session. Any questions you have will be answered before we develop your thinking with further learning.

Who should attend?

Engineers at all levels.
