The Future is Engineering: What Young People Really Think

Engineering is now the third most popular university subject for young people in the UK.

A new report by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and careers platform Unifrog, The Future is Engineering: What Young People Really Think shows that Girls overtook boys in interest in biomedical engineering, at 1.24% versus 1.09%.

Engineering continues to gain popularity across most disciplines, with aerospace and aviation the most popular sectors (1.73%), closely followed by mechanical engineering (1.70%).
