IMECHE SPORTS ENGINEERING GROUP

A COMMUNITY FOR SPORTS ENGINEERS.

Part of the Biomedical Engineering Division, this group was created in 2024 to bring together people working on all aspects of engineering in sport.

It aims to build on the Institution’s 2023 report ‘Sustainable, Inclusive, Innovative: The Role of Engineering in Sport’.

The founding committee will be organising webinars, events, and acting as an advisory body to government.

The IMechE have partnered with UK Sports Engineering Day 2024. Being held in Nottingham Trent University, the conference is a student focused event aiming to give students the valuable opportunity to present and network with other sports engineers and industry.
