Engineering Education Perspectives – An Interactive Session

On 3 August 2022; Mechanical Engineering Department; Centre for Advanced Studies & Research in Automotive Engineering, and IMechE DTU Chapter organised an interactive session on “Engineering Education Perspectives”.

The Expert was Professor Autar Kaw from University of South Florida, USA and 2012 US Professor of the Year. The world renowned Professor Kaw gave the audience a deep insight into the future of education, which closely aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. His insight of the future perspectives was the hybrid mode, providing education by adapting the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Communication for a country like India.

The session was graced with insights from distinguished professors, Deans and Registrar DTU aiming towards sustainable education with learning by doing. The key elements that shape the New Education Policy 2020 was brainstormed for upcoming education revolutions.

The session included an interactive Q&A session, where Professor Kaw clarified relevant queries of faculty/students about knowledge of engineering domains and adaptive learning.

The overall persona of edu-crat were densified from new perspective and innovative learning methodologies were channelised.
