Summary

This webinar will provide you with practical tips to help you improve your technical writing skills.

Whether you like it or not, most engineers have to do some writing as part of their jobs. Focusing on the purpose of your writing can help you get started and write more effectively.  Correct punctuation is important to help you clearly communicate your intended message. The apostrophe is one of those punctuation marks that people often use wrongly, such as in single malt’s. Proof-reading is essential for checking accuracy and for giving a professional impression of yourself

Following the record attendance at the “Writing for Engineers” webinar in 2016, Jean Billingsley is back by popular demand. This webinar aims to help engineers improve their writing skills, with some bite-size practical tips. The content is complementary to the IMechE Technical Report Writing and Advanced Technical Report Writing courses, so whether you have attended one of these courses or not, there should be something new for you.

This webinar has already taken place but you can view the recording and download the slides on our Learning Management System, just click here to create your account: IMechE LMS.
