Learn how to retain your millennial workforce and improve multi-generational interaction.

It is estimated that the generation known as millennials (born between 1980 and 2000) comprise half of the current UK workforce. It is therefore no surprise that many organisations, and society as a whole, is experiencing something of a cultural shift.

Growing up alongside evolving technologies and being more globally connected than any preceding generations means that millennials have a new set of skills and perspectives to bring to the workplace.

This highly practical and interactive workshop demonstrates how to embrace and maximise the unique attributes millennials bring. We will discuss how they interact across the other four generations and discuss strategic insights and actionable strategies. This can add significant value to your organisation and will help create a strong, inclusive team culture.

49% of millennials would, if they had the choice, quit their current jobs in the next two years. In the 2017 report, that number was 38%. (Deloitte 2019).

Drawing upon Deloitte’s findings from their annual survey of more than 10,000 millennials, we will explore what motivates this generation, how to align your priorities with theirs, and the importance of mentoring and coaching as opposed to traditionally prescriptive management theory. This increases the likelihood of your millennial workforce staying, contributing and growing with your organisation.

We will also discuss the concept of reverse mentoring across generations and demonstrate that you can learn just as much from your millennial team members as they will from you.

Regardless of which generation you belong to, you will leave with a greater appreciation of how to develop both yourself and the new working generation you manage.

Delivery format

This course will be delivered as three virtual classes (VCs) of 90 minutes, plus thee coaching sessions and an optional post-coUrse clinic:

  • VC 1: The 5 generations
  • VC 2: Retaining your Millennial workforce
  • VC 3: Management techniques
  • Two coaching sessions
  • Complimentary post-course clinic (optional)

One-to-one coaching sessions

To support your business and career development, this course includes two 60-minute coaching sessions, which will run once a week following the course, with the aim to support you in embedding what you have learnt and the insights you have gained directly into your team and the wider business.

This is a unique opportunity to discuss any issues you are facing with an experienced business coach, who will guide your thinking, strategy and actions to ensure your learning experience has a direct impact on the bottom line.

Complimentary post-course clinic

A month after your course, you will have the opportunity to join the rest of the group for an optional 60-minute session to discuss successes, challenges and best practice. Bring your current issues to the table and let the group, facilitated by an expert business coach and trainer, guide your thinking towards strategic, innovative solutions.

An opportunity to reflect on how far you have come and focus in on what changes and tweaks still need to take place for you to reach your goals.
