  • Understand the structure, scope, and application of API 650 and API 653 standards
  • Design and perform calculations for the primary components of storage tanks 
  • Evaluate tank condition and determine fitness-for-service requirements 
  • Understand tank inspection methods, examination procedures, and verification testing 
  • Identify and apply appropriate repair, alteration, and maintenance techniques for storage tanks
