If you’re an Institution member on a mechanical engineering apprenticeship, you can apply for a grant on a variety of grounds.

Our grants can help you, if you're an apprentice, by:

  • Easing a financial need, especially if it was unanticipated

  • Paying for equipment that’s vital to your apprenticeship

  • Helping if you have disability related costs or additional disability needs

  • Lightening your load if you’re a mature apprentice (aged over 24)

  • Assisting with a change of circumstances that adversely affects you

  • Providing employment coaching and CV creation and/or refresh
