Vulcan is a work of art

Even in the current time of financial cutbacks there seem to be subsidies available to build galleries and artworks

I think I have come up with a simple plan to raise the necessary public funding to save the last airworthy Vulcan. Just get it re-designated as a work of art. That should be feasible, its graceful, sweeping curves are a thing of beauty.

Even in the current time of financial cutbacks there seems to be subsidies available for art galleries and money to build new works of art.

Cynical? Maybe - but certainly in the Teesside area it is true with councils closing community centres and libraries, and reducing services for the vulnerable, yet artworks are still being built along the river and on traffic roundabouts.
