Title recognition

How can the profession receive recognition when some organisations do not acknowledge the title Eur Ing?

Recently family circumstances made us consider contacting the IMechE's legal services (see www.purplelegal.co.uk/IMechE).

We started to complete the contact information form on the website, only to discover that Eur Ing was not available on the list of titles. We could have chosen from Mr, Mrs, Miss, Ms, Prof, Dr, Lord, Lady, but not, Eur Ing.

How can the engineering profession ever achieve the recognition it deserves, when the IMechE places a contract with a professional organisation, who does not even acknowledge the profession's title, Eur Ing?
