Statement about Formula Student 2020 and COVID-19

Please read this important announcement.

At this time we have no plans to postpone or cancel Formula Student 2020. We are keeping a close watch on the global developments and will continue to amend our event risk assessments in accordance with any official / government advice. As the event is still a number of months away and the current situation is developing on a daily basis, our position is to proceed as planned at this time.

We are sensitive to how the current situation may affect your critical paths in the build up to July and therefore ask you to email fs@imeche.org if your university is closed with the following information:

• The date your university closed or is expected to close
• The expected date your university will reopen
• How you expect this to affect your Formula Student project e.g. document submission deadlines you expect to miss, the effect on your build schedule etc.

It is important at this stage that we are able to gather information from you and assess the impact to the overall competition, so please be patient whilst we consult on the information received. We will respond to everyone as soon as possible and will keep you updated with any developments.
