Railway Challenge 2022: Confirmed teams, awards application deadline and more

With registration for Railway Challenge 2022 in full swing, we are pleased to announce the teams that have confirmed their participation so far for next year's competition.

Registered teams so far include:

  • University of Huddersfield
  • Transport for London
  • FH Aachen & Reuschling
  • University of Sheffield (x2)
  • Poznań University of Technology
  • Network Rail
  • Newcastle University
  • Alstom & University of Derby

Open to students, apprentices and young professionals, there is still time to register a team if you haven't done so already: submit your team information.

In the meantime, a special awards scheme is open to all registered Railway Challenge 2022 teams. The deadline for awards applications closes on 10 December 2021. Visit the competition's team document library for more information on how to apply.

All participants are encouraged to follow the Railway Challenge’s Twitter and Facebook social media channels and Challenge website for updates on the competition and teams’ locomotives, and we wish all teams who have registered so far the best successes with their projects.
