Take the opportunity to engage with the industry specialists and share successful projects, innovative solutions and operational achievements.

2027 focus
We are particularly interested in practical case studies and experience-led presentations covering topics including:
- Industry trends and future strategy
- New technologies and developments
- Asset integrity, upgrades, and condition monitoring
- Best practice in service
- Plant construction, commissioning, and operation
- Plant auxiliary systems
We’re also keen to hear case studies covering asset failures, recovery methods, mothballing, storage, return to service, and repurposing.
About the User Group
As the challenges facing power generation and their related industrial assets become more complex, opportunities for collaborative learning have never been more important.
IMechE’s Steam Turbine and Generator User Group has established itself as an important forum where engineers can exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends, share operational experience, and explore solutions to common technical challenges affecting fleets worldwide.
