A new batch of paperbacks maintains the high standards of the earlier versions

PE has long been a fan of the Peter’s Railway series of books by Christopher Vine. So it’s good to see that a new batch of four paperback stories maintains the high standards of the earlier hard-backed versions.

The beautifully illustrated books are designed to take young readers on an exciting adventure, while also getting them interested in how mechanical equipment like locomotives actually works.

The Christmas Steam tale sees Peter and his granddad save the day when the local village hall is shut down, by building a new Santa’s woodland grotto and using their train to take local children on a festive journey. The Peter’s Railway books are a publishing success story, selling almost 30,000 copies. PE endorses them as the perfect stocking filler for Christmas.
