Clyde Process solutions wins contracts worth a million

Plant equipment supplier Clyde Process Solutions (CPS) has won two contracts in the recycling and minerals market worth more than a million pounds.

The first contract will see the firm supply storage silos, pneumatic conveying systems, bag dischargers and dosing injection systems to a waste recycling company in the UK by March next year.

The second contract is to supply a pneumatic conveying system to an Egyptian minerals company to move calcium carbonate.  The pneumatic conveyor will replace an existing problematic mechanical bucket elevator system.

Alex Stewart, chief executive of Clyde Process Solutions, said: These two orders build on the positive start made by the group in this new financial year, and are a further testament to the growing recognition by our customers of the substantial environmental and economic benefits our technologies can generate.”

Pneumatic conveying is the use of a gas, usually air, to move something between locations, normally through an enclosed system of pipes, either by positive pressure or by vacuum. Typically the method is used for bulk solid materials.

CPS supplies its pneumatic handling and air filtration technology to companies which handle commodities such as metals, cement, chemicals, ethanol and foods and want to control dust and material spillage to prevent contamination.
