Learn to Win 2024 - 3 November 2023, MTC in Coventry

Formula Student Team

Limited places available: join us to kickstart the new year of Formula Student and get all the updates, advice and support you need.

To book your place, please visit the event website or contact Event Enquiries.

Learn to Win is the first date in the diary that kickstarts the new Formula Student season and brings together the event organisers, head judges, partners and teams to discuss the year ahead, summarise rules changes, run tutorials, outline the judging and scrutineering process, provide feedback on your team's work, help with team management and much more.

The busy exhibition area will also give you access to organisations that can boost your Formula Student year, providing software and careers opportunities, including MAHLE Powertrain, Mercerdes AMG HPP, Newton Europe, McLaren Applied, The Faraday Institution, Embed UK, Onshape, Ansys and MathWorks.

Places are limited owing to the size of the MTC and following sold-out events for the last six years, early booking is essential: please visit the event website or contact Event Enquiries.

Teams and their Faculty Advisors can either join us in person at the Manufacturing Technology Center in Coventry or can join online and get access to the main presentations and 1-2-1 sessions with judges of your choice. No matter where you are in the world, or if you can't travel on the day, we want to support as many teams as possible!

Still on the fence? Here's why you need to join us this year:

  • Get clarifications on the rules direct from the organisers and judges involved
  • Receive feedback on the areas of the competition most important to your 2024 campaign
  • Help new members get up to speed so they can hit the ground running
  • Find out what you need to do to be an effective team leader or head of an engineering aspect of your car
  • FS-AI teams: get everything you need to get started and develop to your own autonomous vehicle
  • Power up: identify and address all the key challenges with your electric vehicle, including HV/LV lines, accumulator design, safety systems and much more
  • Bring your faculty advisor so they can understand how best to support your team and maximise your entry in 2024
  • Benchmark your car against other teams and take back new ideas
  • Find out how to secure IMechE financial awards and write the best application to secure funds
  • Meet with software providers and find out how to access and use their design and simulation packages
  • Bring your CV and meet with engineering organisations who could provide you with a placement or graduate role

We look forward to seeing you in November!
