In memory of Lauri Antilla

Edinburgh University's Formula Student team EUFS have set up a Just Giving page for one of their former teammates. Here's how you can get involved and support CLIC Sargent.

Last year Edinburgh University Formula Student lost a good friend and valued member, Lauri Anttila. Lauri passed away after he was diagnosed with rare liver cancer in late summer 2015. From the founding of EUFS, Lauri was always one of the team’s most valued members thanks to his dedication and hard work. Most importantly he was an irreplaceable friend of ours. Despite everything, he continued playing an essential role in our team, and he was elected treasurer for the 2017/2018 season.

In honour of his memory, the team is running a series of fundraising events to raise money for CLIC Sargent, a charity which supported Lauri and his family in his fight against cancer. Hopefully, our contribution will allow them to help others in need. These events will culminate with a sponsored climb up Ben Nevis while carrying our first car chassis, which Lauri helped build!
