Comfort models
Motion and control technologies company Parker Hannifin has developed a range of remote-controlled electro-pneumatic pressure regulators.
The 1-inch and 2-inch EPP4 Comfort models have been developed for quick installation and low inertia on moving robots. Using an integrated electronic control system and pulse width modulated solenoid valves, the units control the output pressure proportionally to an analogue electrical signal, while high precision is achieved by an internal feedback through an integral pressure sensor. As a result, says Parker Hannifin, control systems can be simplified dramatically through the reduced number of components, while productivity is improved through the greater degree of flexibility.
The EPP4 range also has fast response times and low hysteresis of 0.5% for the accurate and fast adjustment of the controlled pressure, significantly increasing production efficiency. Power consumption requires a maximum of only 6W.
Parker Hannifin says the EPP4 Comfort 1-inch and 2-inch pressure regulators have been devised to improve the performance and reliability of machinery within the production environment, including welding, printing and machine tool robots.
