Boeing delivered a record 763 new planes to customers in 2017, more than its competitors for a sixth year in a row.
Sales of the single-aisle 737 and double-aisle 787 jets drove the high output for the US multinational, which grew its backlog of planes to build with 912 net orders.
The company delivered a record 529 new 737s in 2017, producing an average of 47 a month. It also delivered 136 new 787 Dreamliners.
“The record-setting performance is a testament to our employees and supplier partners who continue to innovate new ways to design, build and deliver the most fuel-efficient airplanes to customers around the world,” said Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and CEO Kevin McAllister.
