Apprentice Automation Challenge goes online as a result of COVID-19.

In line with Government guidance and in order to enforce measures that will keep participants, IMechE members and staff safe, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers has taken the decision to cancel the Apprentice Automation Challenge (AAC) physical event due to take place at the MTC in Coventry on 18 September.

The AAC Steering Group has taken the decision to host the competition virtually. Teams are expected to submit a five-minute video of their prototype showcasing its functionalities as well as participate in a live Business Case presentation on 18 September.

The winning team will be invited to exhibit their prototype at the Smart Factory Expo and attend the TMMX Awards in February 2021.
