RS and IMechE are delighted to announce the findings of its recent maintenance engineering survey.
To access this report, please visit the RS website. There’s never been a more important time for maintenance engineering. The challenges facing businesses today mean that maintenance engineers are even more critical to manufacturing success.
In the current financial climate, costs are under scrutiny as never before and assets are being kept working well beyond their design life. It’s against this background that RS partnered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) to take the pulse of the profession, with over 1,200 members globally responded to the survey.
The report seeks to provide an overview of the maintenance engineering profession, encompassing talent acquisition, performance monitoring, maintenance strategies, unplanned downtime, digital transformation efforts and much more. Findings
Context is provided by Richard Jeffers, Managing Director of RS Industria, Dr Moray Kidd, Maintenance engineering academic at University of Manchester, Emma Botfield, Managing Director, UK & Ireland at RS and Lydia Amarquaye, Professional Development and Education Policy Advisor at IMechE.
In order to discuss some of the key findings of the report, provide further details and elaborate on their implications for engineering businesses, the IMechE will be hosting a dedicated webinar on 4 July 2023 led by Emma Botfield with input from Lydia Amaerquaye.
The webinar is free to attend for all and we invite all engineers to join us for a detailed the state-of-the-industry presentation, together with the chance to put your questions to Emma: book your place here
