This week there was varied coverage for the Institution’s flagship event Formula Student – with an article on the Eurosport/Yahoo website and coverage for the Formula Student event at Bedford School, Bath University’s Formula Student team meeting the University’s Minister and Birmingham University’s participation in Birmingham’s Skills Show. Comments by the Institution about the urgent need to recruit new engineers were picked up by the Sunday Times and there was good regional pick-up of the latest policy statement by the Institution, which is calling on schools and colleges to be measured on the education, training and employment destinations of their leavers, and not just on their academic achievements.
