Institution news
The International Young Members Committee (IYMC) opened the IMechE Technical Paper Competition. The competition is open to all International Young Members and non-members of the Institution, we had entries from Student Affiliates, Young Members and Working members.
Through this award, it is aimed to achieve the following objectives
- Develop empirical study skills
- Product development of ideas and conceptual models
- Develop critical reviews
- Develop ideas on the theme
The competition also provides an avenue for future engineers in the undergraduate affiliate members to young members in the industry to voice out their opinions and ideas about a particular theme. The theme for the competition resonates with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and COP27 in addressing the world's challenges. The competition also provides an avenue for future STEM practitioners from the undergraduate affiliate members to young members in the industry to voice out their brilliant ideas towards sustainability.
