This week, Institution Theme Managers Philippa Oldham and Dr Tim Fox appeared on primetime TV speaking about the hyperloop high speed travel proposal and fracking in the UK. There was also coverage in the Independent and the Scotsman for an award being presented to the Titan crane by four engineering Institutions – including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Article about Clydebank’s Titan Crane being designated an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, which refers to the Engineering Heritage Award presented to the crane by the Institution last year. A similar article appeared in The Scotsman (the hard copy of the newspaper featured a quote from the Institution’s John Wood).
