Graham is the Delivery Associate Director for the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit within Frazer-Nash Consultancy Ltd with responsibility for oversight of the full portfolio of the Business Unit’s projects. Up until December 2024, he was Frazer-Nash’s Engineering Manager for the Energy Technology department with responsibility for over 80 staff with specialisms in aerodynamics, loads and controls across the offshore energy sector.

Graham is fluid dynamics specialist with a master’s degree in Engineering Science and doctorate in Flow Measurement both from the University of Oxford. Throughout his 20 year consultancy career he has worked across the Energy industry starting initially within the nuclear sector and for the last ten year focussing within the offshore energy and renewables sector. He has held leading roles in R&D projects within the Carbon Trust’s Floating Wind Joint Industry Project and Offshore Wind Accelerator programmes, associated with wind farm blockage effects, farm-to-farm wakes and floating wind energy yield and has published a number of conference papers on these topics. He has also advised wind energy developers on aerodynamic methods and acted as technical approver for many commercial grade wind resource and energy yield assessments and layout optimisation studies.

He is the ONE KBR (Frazer-Nash’s parent company) Technical Fellow in Fluid Dynamics and Wind Energy and Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at the University Surrey, where he delivers the specialist 4th year module option on wind resource and energy yield assessment.

Graham is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the IMechE and European Registered Engineer with FEANI.

Technical Advisory Committees

The Division has three technical sub-committees:

Each committee focuses on activities associated with generating electrical power, using that particular source of energy.  Through these committees the Power Industries Division is responsible for identifying a range of events throughout the year, which enable and encourage networking, refining of skills and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for mechanical engineers.
