As part of RSB’s strategy to develop and encourage the volunteers of our Regions and Areas we would like to recognise and award volunteers who are going above and beyond.
The award is made annually by the UK Regional Volunteer of the Year Panel, which consists of the RSB Deputy Chair, RSB secretariat and two elected members from the RSB network.
Please complete the application form link here. Please give as much detail as possible within the provided space. Additional information such as flyers, background material, etc can be attached with the submission.
This guidance explains what the judges are looking for. The list is not exhaustive; you may include any other evidence that supports the nomination. The guidance below is intended to assist with completing your nomination form. Where appropriate, please provide context in support of your nomination including details of any particular challenges encountered/overcome by the nominee. This award looks to reward an IMechE volunteer who is active within the RSB network and who has made a significant contribution (usually over a number of years) towards sustaining and developing all the different activities that the IMechE RSB network is involved with. For your nominee to win the award, we will be looking for examples of the following in your description of the nominee’s activities. Clearly it is unlikely that any nominee will be able to show all points below, but please strive to show as many as possible and the depth to which your nominee shows them.
