Summary

An intensive two-day providing an understanding of process safety management with a step by step approach. The aim is to better understand the difference between conventional health and safety and process safety management systems, and to improve overall business performance.

Process safety hazards are ever present in major hazard industries such as refining, chemical manufacturing and other processing industries. Managing process safety relies upon high standards of integrity within process plant and equipment to ensure that there are no unintentional losses of containment which could lead to a major incident.

This introductory training covers the key concepts of process safety and outlines a systematic process safety management model.
We explore process safety hazards, assess risk and provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the difference between conventional occupational health and safety and process safety to make sure participants fully grasp the concept of process safety.

This course provides the foundation upon which to build more knowledge on process safety management.

Who should attend?

It will benefit anyone involved in the design, operation, modification or maintenance of major hazard or other process plant, who would like to develop or refresh their process safety knowledge across a broad range of topics.

  • Safety managers and safety team members
  • Lead safety practitioners
  • Asset managers
  • Operational managers
  • Procurement and contractor managers
  • Change managers
  • Emergency planners and responders
  • Senior executives with lead responsibility for risk management

How will I benefit?

After the course you will be able to:
