The Annual Dinner is the pre-eminent prestige event on the IMechE Calendar, welcoming members and partners from across the profession to celebrate the impact of engineers and engineering in improving the world.

This year’s dinner is an extra-special occasion, celebrating 200 years of railway engineering since our 1st President, George Stephenson, opened the Stockton and Darlington mainline in 1825. The dinner will be hosted by IMechE’s 140th President, Matt Garside, and takes place at Stephenson’s converted workshop, the Boiler Shop, in Newcastle.

The evening will feature a three-course dinner, keynote speech, and the presentation of some of the Institution’s most prestigious awards. As the evening goes on, the formal proceedings will give way to a traditional cèilidh, so bring your dancing shoes for what is sure to be a spectacular night.

Capacity is strictly limited, places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so ensure you book today to avoid disappointment.
