Summary

Gain an understanding of the fundamental aspects of certifying composite components, with a focus on quality and testing.

This course elaborates on the different types of testing, how to quantify that in terms of quality and then what requirements must be met for certification. It also details the design allowables of composites and how they can be determined through testing.

This course provides an interactive training experience, providing participants with a clear understanding of manufacturing processes, detecting defects, how composite materials can fatigue, testing of components and the requirements for certification.

There are key objectives for the modules offered through this course, where the main focus is supplying participants with the knowledge required from a composites quality and certification perspective. This course is aimed at engineers and engineering managers who work with composites through the lifecycle and/or wish to meet their professional development requirements.
