Laura is a fully qualified Executive Coach and CIPD HR professional with 15 years’ experience working in a number of key sectors. As the head of Learning & Development she has created leadership and craft based development pathways for all employees and designed, implemented and embedded a culture of coaching across a headcount of 1000 staff. Laura holds a BA (Hons) in English Studies, CIPD Level 5 Certificate in HR Management, an Advanced Certificate in Executive Coaching from UWE and an ILM Level 7 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring and has lived and worked in Singapore and Switzerland. Laura is hugely experienced at bringing people together from different backgrounds, cultures and approaches and uniting them in a shared purpose.
Laura was drawn to coaching many years ago when she herself was the client of a fantastic coach who really helped her to ‘unwind her mind’. The power of coaching is transformational – it holds the space for thought, allows focus and it unlocks ideas in the mind of the coachee. Laura’s focus is helping clients to articulate their goals or dreams and to help them build the confidence and self-belief to achieve them. Through open questions, simple coaching frameworks, support and guidance she can help her coachee to take that all-important first step towards making empowering change.
What to expect
Laura is an open and empathetic communicator and coach and would expect her coachees to be the same. Modern life is very immediate so in a coaching session she encourages a slowing down in order to really explore thoughts and situations. Outcomes or solutions are not always immediate so she expects patience and a commitment to the coaching journey. The thought work produced by a coaching session is absolutely crucial so coachees should be willing to commit time to the reflective work needed between sessions. This commitment and hard work has created the most outstanding, impactful results and experience for every one of her clients.
