Call for Presentations open: contribute your expertise and recent findings to this specialised engineering community.

For a full list of topics and instructions on how to submit your presentation summary before the 23 September 2022 deadline, please visit the event website.

Taking place every March, the annual Steam Turbine and Generator User Group brings together the international community of end users, manufacturers and service providers to address common challenges involved in the operation and maintenance of these assets.

Featuring two days of technical presentations given by those in the engineering community, the User Group covers all the latest technical developments, regulatory changes and trends in industry to provide attendees with a comprehensive update on the Steam Turbine and Generator landscape, together with case studies demonstrating successful strategies and sharing lessons learned from failures.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers warmly invites all professionals involved with these assets to share their findings, expertise and work with the wider engineering community at the 2023 User Group.

This is your chance to demonstrate your and your company’s expertise to a highly technical audience, benchmark your organisation’s processes, meet dozens of engineers with common interests and make valuable new connections; presenters attend the User Group for free.

Topics sought include input on Industry Trends, new and innovative technologies, best practice for inspections and service, insurance and risk management and much more: please visit the event website for a full list.

Sending your submission is simple: please provide a presentation summary outlining the contents of a 20 minute presentation and include the following information:

  • Your full name and contact details
  • A working title for your presentation
  • A 150 word summary of the topic/case study that you intend to cover and its application within industry

Email your presentation summary to eventconcepts@imeche.org by 23 September 2022 and the event committee will peer-review your presentation and respond to all submissions following the deadline.

Please pass on to any of your colleagues who you feel should share their work and we look forward to receiving your summaries in due course.
