We’re delighted that our EngTech Apprenticeship Scheme has been approved for the second time by the IMechE.
We sought re-approval because here at the MTC, we’re working to create the next generation of advanced manufacturers that will help to secure the future of the sector. We set high standards for our learners and foster a highly professional culture throughout every element of our programme. Encouraging apprentices to remain up to date with industry standards and to maintain a prestigious professional membership from the outset of their careers is an important part of our approach in supporting all of our learners to fulfil their potential.
The recognition of the IMechE’s approval adds value to the MTC’s programme, because apprentices and employers know they are getting an apprenticeship that has been quality stamped by the Engineering Council. It also supports our apprentice retention through our continued development and investment in our learners, giving them access to a library of additional resources. Another benefit to the apprentices is of course the reduced cost of professional registration, as well as a streamlined process to secure EngTech status when they have successfully completed their programme.
