If you’re an apprentice, you can become an Affiliate member for free and enjoy our member benefits.

If you’re at the end of your advanced or modern engineering apprenticeship, you can apply for professional registration as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) with the Institution. You’ll boost your earning potential, meet like-minded people, enjoy world-class recognition, and get ongoing career support.

What are Approved EngTech schemes?

If you have completed:

an Approved company scheme
an Approved training provider scheme
an Approved College scheme

You can apply for Engineering Technician (EngTech) registration via a simplified route.
