Library and Members’ Hub welcoming you back safely

Some important changes have been put in place to ensure that our members and staff can visit us safely.

  • The number of visitors to the library will be restricted to 13 visitors at a time on a first come, first served basis. We do not take bookings
  • Desks, chairs, and PCs have been spaced for social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser is available on entry and at high contact points such as printers and coffee machine and regular cleaning will take place.
  • Two computers are available which will be cleaned between sessions.
  • The Library and Members’ Hub (LMH) will be open from 10am - 4pm.
  • The LMH offers desks for work, study, and areas for adhoc meetings – food, drink and phone calls are permitted self-service printer/scanner will be available.
  • The library office area is restricted to staff only, but they are on hand to assist with enquiries.
  • As per guidelines please wear a face mask (unless exempt) whilst visiting the library.
  • Tea/coffee and water is available – please use the wipes and sanitiser provided.
  • You can request postal loans, visit to browse and collect and post items back to the library.
  • Please let us know in advance if you wish you view any of our journal runs as these need to be collected from our basement store.
  • Advanced booking is required if you wish to view archive materials archive@imeche.org.
  • You will need to sign in at reception.
