Project Visitor - Support Network
Help the Support Network by become a project visitor and help assess support needs for members in your community.
Visiting applicants to discuss their circumstances and their financial need. Talking through and clarifying any uncertainties and then making recommendations to the Support Network office re the potential grant and or service assistance to offer.
Time commitment and location
The role usually requires half a day per annual quarter. Visit are done in-person and we match the visitor to the applicant so if we have a new request we need often need a new visitor.
The member’s home will be close to you and will usually not exceed an hour of driving distance from where you live.
Requirements and training
We provide training all visitors. This includes undertaking a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and safeguarding training.
We also ask new visitors to shadow a more experienced visitor before undertaking solo visits.
