Join the Space Technical Activity Committee (SpaceTAC)

SpaceTAC brings together engineers, researchers, academics and industry representatives to provide a focal point of technical expertise on space engineering within IMechE. The committee supports the Aerospace Division by promoting knowledge sharing, developing technical activities, and strengthening engagement across the rapidly evolving space industry.

What you will do

As a member of SpaceTAC, you will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute your technical knowledge and industry expertise to support the advancement of space engineering.
• Help develop and deliver high-quality technical events, webinars, seminars and conferences.
• Collaborate with professionals from industry, academia and government on topics of strategic importance to the space sector.
• Support the development of technical content that informs the engineering community and promotes best practice.
• Represent the interests of the space engineering community within IMechE's Aerospace Division.

How much time it will take

Committee members typically attend three to four meetings per year, with occasional involvement in technical events and other committee activities.
