The Audit & Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) plays a vital role in ensuring robust governance, effective risk management and financial integrity. As a member of this influential committee that reports into the Trustee Board, you will help shape strategic decisions and strengthen internal controls and risk management across the organisation (including its trading subsidiary).

About you

Are you an experienced professional with an interest in governance, accountability, risk and strategic oversight? We are seeking talented individuals to join our Audit & Risk Assurance Committee in two key roles.

What you will do

Ordinary member - role overview:

  • Contribute to discussions on governance, risk, compliance and audit
  • Provide independent challenge and insight 
  • Support continuous improvement across assurance frameworks
  • Review financial reporting and internal controls

Deputy Chair - in addition to an ordinary member’s duties:

  • Support the ARAC Chair in leading the committee and ensure that the committee fulfils its assurance function
  • Assist with risk deep dives
  • Chair meetings when required (in the absence of the ARAC Chair)
  • Help drive forward effective committee performance
  • Act as a key point of contact for the committee

How much time it will take

Time Commitment & Terms

  • The Committee will meet at least five times per year. Meetings will be face-to-face, virtual or hybrid, with at least one being face-to-face. Committee members are required to attend at least four out of five meetings per year.
  • Preparation and review of papers in advance of meetings
  • Ordinary Members will have a term of up to three years, which could be extended to a second term of up to three years.
