Martin Luckett

An experienced coach who draws on over 30 years’ experience working across a range of business functions and in multiple business sectors including automotive manufacturing, engineering management, FMCG – food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, finance, retail and distribution.

Martin is a Chartered Engineer with first-hand experience of leading teams and projects within Manufacturing and Engineering Operations. Martin is also a Chartered Fellow of the CMI and has spent the last 20 years helping others reach their maximum potential. He specialises on the people and process interface, helping engineering leaders to build a business culture that will ultimately lead to improved levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

Coaching approach

The key to effective coaching is to create an environment of trust, where any topic can be brought to the table with the confidence you will not be judged for your approach, your thinking or past mistakes. Learning from experiences, both positive and negative, is part of the personal journey of discovery. Martin’s role is to provide a safe space for you to explore, review and build on your thinking, helping you to develop solutions that are right for you, because they have been developed by you.

What to expect

The coaching experience will start with a contracting conversation. Together you will agree to the basic principles for engagement, confidentiality and follow up. From this solid foundation, you will be asked to commit to attending the arranged sessions and keeping to the actions that you define.

Martins' commitment will be to attend the arranged sessions and to listen to your aims and objectives, then use challenging but sensitive questioning to help you to develop your thinking.
