Look for the perfect job
Job search engines can be an invaluable resource as you look for your first job out of university, and will often showcase some excellent vacancies with top engineering firms. Remember, many vacancies will be listed under recruitment agencies, so the company name next to the vacancy will not always relate to the vacancy itself!
It’s important to be proactive in your search. There are likely to be hundreds of other graduates uploading their CVs to job search websites, and if you don’t actively apply for positions and follow up on your application you risk being lost in the crowd.

In addition to browsing these sites, it’s best to check company websites directly if you know who you’re interested in working for. Direct applications are much more impressive to potential employers as it shows how keen you are to work with them.
