While there is no academic requirements for registering on MPDS, it is important to ensure that you meet the requirements for CEng/IEng before completing MPDS and applying for professional registration. Current academic requirements · The current requirement for CEng registration is a Masters Level Engineering qualification · For IEng, a Bachelors Level Engineering qualification is required If you are working towards either professional registration and do not have the required level of qualification you may need Further Learning. Please follow the link for more information. This can be undertaken in conjunction with MPDS – it does not need to be completed before registering on the scheme. If you have a suitable level of qualification, but it is not accredited by the IMechE (see below) you will need to have your qualification checked by us to confirm that they contain enough Mechanical Engineering content.
