The IMechE Professional Development team offer a variety of services to support Professional Development for either individuals or groups of Engineers.
Advisory visits
A member of our Professional Development team will visit your organisation to discuss the accreditation of your training programme as a MPDS. This is an excellent opportunity to find out about the processes and timescales involved in becoming an IMechE accredited provider. The sessions last for approximately 2 hours and may be booked by calling 0207 973 1263 or by emailing s_wilding@imeche.org
MPDS Mentor Training Seminars
Designed for:
Scheme co-ordinators
Mentors actively involved in training, eg in SMEs
Existing mentors who wish to update their knowledge
Training personnel within a company
Industrial Liaison Officers
Line managers or others involved in the administration of an MPD Scheme
The one-day seminar includes the latest information on the EC regulations for the registration of professional engineers (changes from SARTOR to UK-SPEC), and the requirements for accreditation of a Professional Development Programme.

To ensure individual participation, seminars are limited to a maximum of 30 delegates.
