The fee from 1st January 2007 is £30 per annum for each individual. This fee is due each year and broadly, this is due on the anniversary date of registration on MPDS. A lump sum payment of £90 for IEng and £120 for CEng is also accepted for payment.

You must maintain membership of IMechE whilst participating in the MPDS.

How much does it cost to gain accreditation and run an MPD Scheme?

IMechE make no charge for the accreditation of a scheme but an optional certificate of accreditation is available at a cost of £170.00 plus VAT. Each developing engineer pays £30.00 per annum to register on the scheme or bulk fees as outlined above.

Due to implementation of online records with e-MPDS, we no longer provide a record folder . Only students will be using paper based records.

e-MPDS, how do I do this?

Trainees and Mentors need an email address before using e-MPDS. This must be registered within the IMechE database.

Your link to e-MPDS is within your personal IMechE member page. If you have never logged on as a member, please do so now. Go to www.imeche.org and log on as a 'New User'. Follow the prompts and enter your email address and the details. These are case sensitive and must match our records or you will not be able to create the username and password. If you have difficulty, contact subscriptions@imeche.org

After creating your log on, the e-MPDS link takes 2 working days to activate.

All graduate engineers should be using the online records. There are no additional fees payable for e-MPDS. The company requires no investment in additional software.
