Ambassadors are IMechE members with a wide variety of backgrounds, interests and skills who are united in their commitment and passion for engineering.

IMechE Ambassadors support their profession by participating in events, projects and education outreach programmes centred on our four key themes.

Our Ambassadors are from a number of specialisations and at various stages of their careers, including:

• Undergraduates looking to gain an insight into the various aspects of a career in engineering
• Qualified engineers working towards professional accreditation looking to develop their skills
• Experienced professionals looking to give something back to the engineering community

If you are an IMechE member and have previously volunteered for the Institution – from chairing a committee to acting as a speaker at careers events – then you have already acted as an ambassador. Current volunteers should join the Ambassador programme to gain access to the full range of resources and opportunities available.
