The Institution's Ambassadors are volunteers who work to promote engineering, provide intellectual leadership and inspire the next generation of mechanical engineers in schools and universities.

The IMechE Ambassador programme aims to:

• Develop awareness and understanding of mechanical engineering
• Provide members with opportunities and resources to support the engineering community
• Give professional engineers a means of developing their own skills.

Volunteering as an Ambassador gives Institution members a unique chance to share their commitment and passion for engineering. Our Ambassadors are actively involved in a number of roles within the community – from acting as media spokespeople to participating in regional and industry committees and helping out at IMechE events.
