Student Chapter launched at Amity University Dubai

A gala ceremony marked the official opening of the Institution's Student Chapter at the Amity University Dubai campus.

It is the Institution’s fourth student chapter in the United Arab Emirates.

Dr Pon Selvan, Academic Liaison Officer of the Institution’s student chapter at Amity welcomed the guests: Mr Mohammed Alnakhi (Country Representative, UAE), Mr Aaqib Raza (Young Member Country Representative, UAE and MEA Region) and Mr Hasan (Honorary Secretary, Pakistan Group). 

He introduced the student board members of the student chapter to Mr Alnakhi, who awarded the official certificate of Institution Student Chapter – Amity University, Dubai.

The following are the student board members of the chapter:

• Chair: Mr Mohammad Faisal
• Vice Chair: Mr Swaroop Raveendran Meloth
• Secretary: Mr Mohamed Ziyad Mohamed Sagir
• Treasurer: Ms Monica RajKumar Keswani

In a speech, Mr Alnakhi explained Institution membership benefits to the students and encouraged them to make use of these benefits from the Institution’s professional, academic and research affiliations. 

Aaqib Raza, in his keynote address, also spoke about the benefits of membership, various scholarships and research grants that are available to members, and how to apply for them.

He also assured attendees that the Institution will extend support to all activities that are planned by Amity University Dubai chapter.
