Time to learn new skills? Training courses help your career development
Have you ever thought about how to progress your career or learn new skills? Well now you could, by undertaking one of the Institution’s training courses.
It’s a New Year so why not think about learning a new skill in order to help your career development during 2012 and beyond? This is the message that the Institution’s Commercial Learning & Development Manager Mark Pepperell is sending out, with Institution courses due to start in February.
Mark is hoping a good number of engineers sign up, with the benefits for attendees being considerable. As he explained: “All of the courses are mapped to the Engineering Council’s UK-SPEC, which means they contribute to engineers’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD). People who are serious about their personal development should be looking to come to a course.”
The course content is particularly useful for recent graduates who haven’t quite chosen what career path to follow, or for more senior engineering professionals who are looking to take their skills to the next level. The Institution offers a range of courses that will give a well rounded experience for all those that attend.
There are a total of five different courses for you to choose from in February:
The Senior Engineering Manager – 8 & 9 February 2012, London
This is aimed at engineers and other technical professionals who have experience in a man-management role and now want to take their skills to the next level. It aims to help you in the management of all areas in order to operate consistently at personal peak performance.
